The U.S. Forest Service is encouraging people to submit comments by April 28, 2014, on the Notice of Intent to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement. The NOI, published last month in the Federal Register, is part of the next phase of revising the Nantahala and Pisgah National Forests Land and Resource Management Plan.
